Japan
Yes, I went to Japan. And took LOTS of pictures. I even had to delete some because I was goin' too crazy. Regardless, I wanted to share my experience with my friends and family and everyone. I know LOTS of people want to go to Japan, and I happened to get lucky and go to go, so I thought it only far to let others see some of the things I got to see and experience.
There's a program called People to People started in 1956 by D. Wright Eisenhower. This was a program to send young Student Ambassadors to other countries. The idea and goal of the program is to make the younger generation more open and aware of other cultures and countries. By sending our young, we are giving the future a chance to become better and for there to be a higher chance of understanding amungst the countries. Some say this is a set towards world peace, and I tend to agree. By going to other countries, we have to be polite and abide by THEIR ways. So if their culture doesn't wear pants, we won't wear pants. It's a way to show respect to their customs and to know them better.
With that said, I went to Japan part of this group and got to experience their culture and customs first hand. Now, I'll share and show some to yall too.
There's a LOT, so I've tried to split them up into sections kinda. They're all on this one page, but I grouped them together and put them in order they were taken. ENJOY!
Photos
Features: BuildingExplanation: The building if the hotel from Tokyo Disney if I remember correctly.
Original Photo
Features: KiahExplanation: The girl featured was my room mate and is a friend of mine too. I took this picture to show the hotel's room we were staying in. Sadly I couldn't fit it all in one photo.
Original Photo
Features: MeExplanation: This is the other half of the hotel room as well as my bed. Claimed it as soon as I walked in. Heehee.
Original Photo
Features: Kiah [Left] and Jasmine [Right]Explanation: We, being all roommates, went for a walk around the hotel and found this area. Sadly, I never realized the picture I took was so blurry...*sigh*
Original Photo
Features: BuildingsExplanation: Just thought I'd take some photos of the buildings of the Japan from my window seat on the bus.
Original Photo

Original Photo

Original Photo
Features: Tokyo BillboardsExplanation: More of Tokyo? ^-^'
Original Photo
Features: Tokyo Tower [From Distance]Explanation: I was the only one on the bus with my window open, so I was able to stick my camera out of the window and get a rain-drop-on-window free picture. Still gray-ish, but better than nothing.
Original Photo
Features: Me [Left] and Rachel [Right]Explanation: We were at the Hard Rock Cafe in Tokyo and we thought the holder was really cool so, group picture? xD
Original Photo
Features: [Left to Right] Meg, Maryann, Roxi, Lisa, Me, and RachelExplanation: This is the people I sat with at the Hard Rock Cafe...what else is there to say?
Original Photo

Original Photo
Features: -Explanation: This is the entrance to a temple. That entrance thing is supposed to purify your spirit when ya walk under and through it.
Original Photo
Features: Cleansing WaterExplanation: This is where ya cleanse your hands and mouth. Take a scoop of water, clean first the right then the left hand. Then pour some in your mouth and then spit it out. [There's an area where ya do all this over so it does dirty the clean water.] Clean your right hand again and then the scoop...I think that was how it went. I'm not a hundred percent sure. Heh.
Original Photo
Features: -Explanation: This is the inside of a temple where the people pray. Bow twice, clap hands twice, pray, clap, and finish with a bow. I THINK that's how it went. Again, I can't be positive.
Original Photo
Features: -Explanation: The entrance to the temple from the inside.
Original Photo
Features: -Explanation: When we went shopping, we found this shop with all these awesome...I guess we'll call them costumes. This is a picture to example what was inside. Pretty amazing.
Original Photo
Features: Alex [ Left], Becca [Middle], and Kelly [Right]Explanation: The picture wasn't of them, but the thing in the background. We were dinning in a traditional Japanese restaurant and style, so I wanted to show some of the things and ways they decorated the place.
Original Photo
Features: Lisa [Left] and Me [Right]Explanation: At the restaurant discussed in the picture above. The camera and focus got kinda...weird on me. Oh well.
Original Photo
Features: Apples to Apples CardsExplanation: It's mostly an inside joke...I can't really explain it.
Original Photo
Features: BrendonExplanation: After he joined, everyone else slowly managed to win a green card...but he just couldn't do it. So everyone was joking around about how he doesn't exsist. But then he was like "I just don't have a personality". So we kept teasing him about that till he finally won like THE last round...so we had to play again. xD But that's him, with his idea and his new personality card.
Original Photo
Features: Apples to Apples CardsExplanation: These are the cards I won. The first time I played with everyone it took me literally over two hours to finally get a single green card. So these were all the cards I won. Yay!
Original Photo
Features: Castle MoatExplanation: This is the castle in Tokyo's moat. With the city buildings in the background too.
Original Photo

Original Photo
Features: Castle/BridgeExplanation: Close up! Yay!
Original Photo
Features: -Explanation: This is the entrance to this shopping area. It's also the place where some guy asked us to play extras in a movie they were shooting around here and our group had a lot of people [36]. Soooo~! We got to play the roll of tourists....xD Figures, ne? Lol.
Original Photo
Features: LunchExplanation: I tried almost everything on this trip, including the stuff ya see before ya. But Luckily they brought out rice and this shrimp grilled thingie. Those were good and so I didn't have to be forced to eat whatcha see before ya...I didn't much like the taste.
Original Photo
Features: TempleExplanation: This is all part of that same shopping area, but it's the temple at the very end of all the shopping. Don't ask me what the name is...there's no way I could remember them all.
Original Photo
Features: -Explanation: ...This has something to do with the Budda religion. I think it relates something about babies and mothers...or was it fishermen and the sea? o.o Hell I dun remember at all, sadly.
Original Photo
Features: Insides TempleExplanation: This is inside the temple shown in some previous [recent] pictures. It's the area where they pray and worship and stuff like that. It's got lots of gold and beauty to it, so there was a glass wall to protect it.
Original Photo
Features: CeilingExplanation: This was a painting...or design on the ceiling above our heads in the temple mentioned recently in my past photos. There was another one too, but this dragon was in the middle and stood out the most, so I took the best picture I could of it.
Original Photo
Features: TempleExplanation: This is the outside of the temple that the dragon and Budda worshiping in previous pictures was inside. It's taken from the side in hopes of getting more of the temple and its size and magnificent in.
Original Photo
